Amphibian Excavator
This excavator is an excellent tool for excavation/backfill in marshland due to its low ground pressure and in shallow water there it isnât sufficient draught for sailing. The excavator is using, instead of the normal crawling belts, two large pontoons equipped with special crawling belts. The excavator is operating as long it is touching the seabed down to a depth of 1,7 meters whereupon itâs floating. The amphibian excavator is transported on a lowbed trailer dismantled between the projects and in sheltered water it can be towed between the working areas. The excavator is equipped with an extra long stick to achieve extra reach.
